I Help Men Build Muscle & Start Living Bigger Lives

Katherine Cowgill by Teren Oddo Oct. 2015

Imagine you could finally build a body that projects strength, health and confidence.

Like that of a middleweight fighter, All Pro wide receiver or Hollywood superhero.

The kind of body that changes the way you view yourself and the way other people view you.

The kind of body that can literally change your life.

But building muscle and getting strong can be damn near impossible for a lot of men. It’s hard to know what works and what’s bullshit.

I can relate. I grew up skinny, weak and painfully insecure.

That’s why I dedicated my life to helping others overcome the same struggles I dealt with.

I want to help you get stronger physically and mentally.

To not only overcome your skinny-guy or skinny-fat genetics, and get jacked. But to overcome the skinny-guy mindset that holds you back in every way.

I’m Jay Ferruggia, and I’ve been helping guys get jacked and become the strongest version of themselves since 1994.

Nobody has trained more skinny guys than I have, and still do.

I’ve relentlesslly obsessed over this for 25 years, in my quest to be the best in the world at what I do.

I’m the coach to coaches and the trainer to trainers. The one they all come to for advice and new training techniques.

Unlike most of today’s “influencers” and gurus, my approach is based on thousands of hours of real world experience, working with countless clients.

You may have seen my work in Men’s Health, Muscle & Fitness, Maximum Fitness, Men’s Fitness, Fast Company, Huffington Post, LiveStrong, Muscle & Fitness Hers, Shape, Entrepreneur, Details or on ESPN or CBS.

You know how group training is the big thing these days? I invented that in the mid ’90s.

The hardcore, underground warehouse gyms that are so popular nowadays? I had one of those back in ’96.

Training like an athlete? Flipping tires, dragging sleds, pressing logs, using rings? Been doing that for 20+ years with my clients. Long before it was popular or on TV commercials.

Over the course of my life, I’ve been physically and mentally weak, skinny, fat, skinny-fat, sad, depressed, insecure, painfully shy, socially awkward, crippled with anxiety and indecision, struggled with addiction, and have gone broke on more than one occasion.

Overcoming those obstacles took many years and a lot of hard work.

I read and listened to over 500 books.

I attended countless conferences and workshops.

I hired coaches and mentors.

I cut out the negative deadbeats in my life.

I slowly eliminated one bad habit at a time and replaced it with a new one.

What I learned after all that is that Thoreau, Da Vinci, and Bruce Lee were right.

Simplicity is the key to health, wealth and happiness.

Learning to apply the 80/20 rule to everything and forgetting the rest.

Because the reality is that most things don’t matter. It’s just noise and meaningless nonsense that distracts us from living the lives we want.

Life is simple really, but we insist on making it complicated.
– Confucius

On this site, I share tips on:

  • Getting in great shape, in just 3-4 hours a week.
  • Simple eating to stay strong and lean.
  • Building meaningful relationships.
  • Improving your self-confidence.

I’ve been able to help over 300,000 regular readers and podcast listeners make amazing transformations.  And I can help you do the same.

The good news is it won’t take you anywhere near as long as it took me. You can learn from my mistakes and experiences.

There’s no reason to settle for mediocrity, to fall in line with the status quo, to conform. There’s no reason why you can’t be the superhero you deserve to be.

I was born with zero gifts or talents.

If I can do it anyone can.

You only get one life.

Stop acting otherwise.
