Was wondering if you could tell me how you make your homemade hummus. I made some one time and it did not taste all that good.

Thanks

6 days in ketosis, then Sunday cheat. This is what I do always. Sunday meal for me is dinner after church. This Sunday bought 2lbs ground sirloin. Browned and rinsed. Made it into burrito meat with seasonings and chopped onions and jalapenos. Bought package of whole wheat wraps-8 pack. Large bag of chips, 3 jars salsa. 2 cans refried beans. And a large baked potato with sour cream and salsa. Ate all this for dinner. Later came back and had my 1/2 gallon of Mackinaw Island Fudge ice cream. Went to bed and woke up 11 pounds heavier!! I always fast on Mondays and this Tuesday morning woke up 14 pounds lighter. Strong as a bull during Mondays workout. Ah, Sundays are a fun challenge.

Chris

The cheese that we use at Jay's for pizzas and meals requiring cheese is Daiya from Whole Foods. i may be off a touch on the spelling but it is actually carried by Whole Foods itself. it may not be in the "soy cheese" section but ask anyone at the deli counter and they should be able to get some in your hands. it melts, tastes great and it doesnt contain any soy, which is a plus as well. it is made from a root and the only allergen it contains are nuts. give it a try and let me know what you think about it.

enjoy

Jay,

Which vegan cheese do you find the best for making pizzas (meltiness, cheesiness, etc)?

Doug,
I have cut way down on my alcohol consumption over the last few years and am just not really that into it anymore.

Bob,
Purely Decadent is the best.

Dean,
I feel incredible on Monday, pumped full of glycogen and strong.

Matt,
Glad you liked it. I will definitely add more of these.

Chris,
I just meant deep fried crap when I said that.

Dylan,
I know it sounds gross but it's amazing.

Jay

That's a really useful post, thanks for the inspiration as usual. The muscle mags and websites are full of comments like "oh one day a week you can eat anything" but I never really believe them. Rolling off to KFC for the afternoon cannot be a good idea, ever. To hear about some real practical vegan meals instead is really helpful. Just one thing: avocado, carob powder and maple syrup?? Dude, really!?
